Today’s cards: Seven of Wands, The Hanged Man – XII, & Art – XIV.

You ran the odds for everything you thought possible, only for the impossible to make itself manifest against each and every one of those same odds. This puts you on the backfoot, but it doesn’t put you out of the running. While everyone else is so sure that you are done for, take advantage of the surprise to reappraise the game. You won’t get the goal you had been working towards but it is possible to pivot towards a goal that will benefit you more in the long run. It will take patience to rework your efforts, but doing so in silence means you’re more likely to succeed.

Bryan Lahr’s Wyzard of Odd tarot deck is a work of art featuring carefully crafted images of literal smoke and mirrors. The deck is based on the Thoth and the margins are lined with correspondences from various esoteric practices. The slightly oversize deck works well for contemplation as the images fold onto themselves and unfolds upon the viewer. In following with the tradition set by the Thoth deck, Wyzard Princes are equivalent to Waite’s Knights, and Wyzard Knights are equivalent to Waite’s Kings.
