Today’s cards: Eight of Gourds, Four of Staffs, & Papa Blade.

Feeling stuck? You could abandon this place and try for something better or stay put and work to repair what is at hand. Neither option is better than the other. But consider your end goal. Are you wanting to stay because your pride won’t allow you to abandon a task that other people have made look easy despite the price they paid to succeed? Are you wanting to leave because the pain of confronting your failure has made it impossible to move past it and so you keep repeating the same mistakes? For every confrontation, there is an avoidance. What makes sense to you is nonsensical to the person beside you. Since there is no one right way to fix this that will make everyone happy, make the decisions that will fix this for yourself. It will be uncomfortable, and you will lose ‘friends’ along the way, but you will (re)gain mastery over yourself and that is how you achieve your goals.

The Dust II Onyx tarot deck is Courtney Alexander’s homage to her Black heritage and to the Black matriarchs and leaders of her communities. The deck is also a love offering to the LGBTQIA+ community and is presented as a tool for every person within the African diaspora to feel a connection to without prejudice.
