Today’s ache isn’t as smothering as it was yesterday, but the mark it has left has yet to be explored. Today isn’t the day to do that. But, since you’re going to try anyway, keep a (metaphorical) light with you to help you out of the pit. Be it a friend, a memento, or even alarm to remind you to check in with others, don’t allow yourself to believe the lie that you have to suffer in solitude. There’s help available but you do have to ask for it.
