Today’s cards: Nine of Swords, Two of Wands, & Nine of Cups.

It would be tempting to dismiss what happened as a consequence of the calendar, but turning your face away will only make things worse. Confront the reality of the situation, painful as it may be, and focus your will on making this better for yourself one way or the other. It will mean foregoing making everyone else happy, but when you think about it, isn’t the process of making everyone else happy that got you in this trouble in the first place?

Bryan Lahr’s Wyzard of Odd tarot deck is a work of art featuring carefully crafted images of literal smoke and mirrors. The deck is based on the Thoth and the margins are lined with correspondences from various esoteric practices. The slightly oversize deck works well for contemplation as the images fold onto themselves and unfolds upon the viewer. In following with the tradition set by the Thoth deck, Wyzard Princes are equivalent to Waite’s Knights, and Wyzard Knights are equivalent to Waite’s Kings. What Does The Deck Say” is a weekday series of 3 card pulls from a cartomancy deck. No context or query is given to frame what the cards say as the posts are reading samples and not personal instruction. The result is sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, and usually surprising. All readers are invited to leave a comment about what they perceive in the random spread as each person will interact with the cards in their own way.

Personalized, direct, and private cartomancy readings are available via Ko-Fi: Noxporium.
