Yes, it sucks hard right now and feels terrible right now and you’re doing everything you can to be a responsible adult right now and none of that feels like it’s helping anything. But it is. So, keep being responsible, but also keep in mind who you are supposed to be responsible to: Yourself. Survey what has happened thus far, and use that information to map a route out of the wreckage. As you progress, you’ll find that much of the matter has already ended and that it is only being kept present by those who won’t let go of the past. Leave them behind and write your future as you go.
