Today’s cards: Justice [XI] (reversed), Knight of Swords, & 6 of Swords.

Don’t hold your breath. The longer you wait for restitution, the longer you’ll be waiting. They never had any intent of doing the right thing and will lead you on for as long as they can or until they have squeezed every possible concession out of you first. Don’t wait on others for your satisfaction. Do what you need to do to protect yourself and what you care about and then go. Leave them behind in the mess of their making and go on to make a better life for yourself.

The Sweeney Tarot was designed to read with reversals. Having the expected 78 cards, one could use any system of meanings with it. However creator and artist Lee Bradford has put deep thought into the meanings of the Sweeney Tarot, making sure it is approachable by all and without occult or religious concerns that would restrict its audience or use. The Sweeney Tarot is ©Lee Bradford.

  1. Holy frick, that imagery! Even if someone knew nothing about the individual card’s nuances, that’s… some story right there. Especially with the knight and the third card being similarly-toned in colors, and the third at the knight’s back, tying them as “the same person” (to me).

I initially took the imagery to mean that the knight was fighting Justice (and losing the fight), but after reading your interpretation- it makes more sense the other way. Justice is upside down, so the knight is fighting an *in*justice. Neat.
    Thank you!
