What Does The Deck Say? June 12, 2024

Today’s cards: House (4), Garden (20), & Child (13). (No photo available today.)

You have been resisting the idea for quite some time and pursuing alternatives, however, it is time to face the fact that there really is no substitute for the endeavor. If you are going to advance in this study, you are going to have to start with a formal entrance into an established house. Which house to seek entry to will be a study in itself, but the information you have been searching for is not in the public eye. Be honest about your intent, and be prepared to be turned away often. Remember why you started looking in the first place, and let that be your guiding light to the house that will open its door for you at last.

This 39 card deck by Caitlín Matthews and Virginia Lee includes two sets of Man and Woman cards, along with an extra Diviner card. The two sets of Man and Woman allows the reading to be tailored to the circumstances of the Querent. One pair is portrayed with light skin and the other pair is portrayed with dark skin. The unused cards are removed from the deck before shuffling. The Diviner (37) is not required for Lenormand reading. However, I include it with my throws as it makes an excellent “Stop Card” when first on the table and a “pay attention to what follows” card when appearing elsewhere. What Does The Deck Say” is a weekday series of 3 card pulls from a cartomancy deck. No context or query is given to frame what the cards say as the posts are reading samples and not personal instruction. The result is sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, and usually surprising. All readers are invited to leave a comment about what they perceive in the random spread as each person will interact with the cards in their own way.

Personalized, direct, and private cartomancy readings are available via Ko-Fi: Noxporium.
