You tell yourself that you are on top of things, that you are prepared for whatever could happen, that you have the resources to come through for yourself and for everyone else. Unfortunately, it will take more than affirmations in the mirror for this to come through. Today, look away from the desire and face the circumstances you are in. Today is the day for working to build up those resources, for working to care for yourself and your elders, and to acknowledge that the work has just begun.
The Dust II Onyx tarot deck is Courtney Alexander’s homage to her Black heritage and to the Black matriarchs and leaders of her communities.
