What Does The Deck Say? January 23 2017

The Fey Tarot is the work of Mara Aghem. While the card names mostly track conventional tarot naming, the scenes differ from Pamela Coleman Smith’s renditions. Not all minors display the full pip count of their number. Rather, the scenes are meant to evoke the intuition of the reader rather than depend on long lists of regurgitated meanings.

Today’s cards: The Magician, 6 of Wands, & The Emperor

There is the Messenger, there is the Message, and there is the Recipient. You are going to be at least one of those three today. If you are the Messenger, do everything in your power to fulfill your duty. Even if the message you carry is bitter and displeasing, it is still your requirement that you deliver it. If you are the Message, be prepared for anger and mistrust. It is not your fault that you will be received poorly. It is not your fault that you are the only mature person in the room. Keep your maturity, and leave with the same bearing as you arrived. If you are the Recipient, be prepared for a surprise. You have done much to keep your environment in the order it is in, and the message that comes to you will shake up that rigid and false sense of perfection you are taking comfort in. But don’t forget you did not get to that position by accident. Receive the news, then use it to strengthen your position.
