This isn’t the day to go all out, despite the winding down of the month. This is the day to take stock of what you have and do only what needs to be done to keep things in balance. This could be the day to evaluate your job’s resources and to distinguish what belongs to you from what belongs to your boss. (You will have a different accounting than what your boss does, and that’s the whole point.) Be fair to yourself as you consider these things, and be prepared to give up that which you had borrowed and to take back that which was yours from the beginning. Be kind to yourself as well. It is not weakness to acknowledge where and how you are lacking.
