What Does The Deck Say? December 21, 2020

Sweeney Tarot: Justice [XI] (reversed), Strength [VIII] (reversed), & 3 of Cups. ©Lee Bradford.

Today’s cards: Justice [XI] (reversed), Strength [VIII] (reversed), & 3 of Cups.

When you have nothing else, enjoy what you have at hand. If that sounds fatalistic, that’s because it is. Facing the limits is easy. Accepting the limits, oh, that’s almost impossible, but that’s where you are today. But what you already have can’t be taken from you, so spend as much of today celebrating it. If for nothing else but to spite those who think they have crushed you for good. (They always forget tomorrow is another day and another chance to break through.)

The Sweeney Tarot was designed to read with reversals. Having the expected 78 cards, one could use any system of meanings with it. However creator and artist Lee Bradford has put deep thought into the meanings of the Sweeney Tarot, making sure it is approachable by all and without occult or religious concerns that would restrict its audience or use. The Sweeney Tarot is ©Lee Bradford.
