Today’s cards: A green leaf descends into a glass holding a red liquid against an orange background. A blue hand holds an orange candle while the other blue hand shields the lit candle from the red background. A lit blue candle burns away a taut orange thread against a green background.

You did what you had to do to confront your fear, but you have exchanged the worry you knew about for the worry you haven’t acknowledged yet. Today, take a good look at what you are doing and be honest with yourself about how things are going. Just because you are used to the trouble doesn’t mean you should keep accepting it.

The Motif Deck is a unique cartomancy system designed and painted by Lee Bradford where the images have no inherent meaning, and so it’s up to the reader to assign significance. The cards consist of seven objects interacting with each other: hand, candle, rose, feather, key, string, and cup. Each image consists of one or two of these items on a plain colored background. These images were designed to be meaningless – they are just objects. What gives them meaning is the combination of color, frequency, placement, and interpretation from the querent and the reader. What Does The Deck Say” is a weekday series of 3 card pulls from a cartomancy deck. No context or query is given to frame what the cards say as the posts are reading samples and not personal instruction. The result is sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, and usually surprising. All readers are invited to leave a comment about what they perceive in the random spread as each person will interact with the cards in their own way.

Personalized, direct, and private cartomancy readings are available via Ko-Fi: Noxporium.
