Today’s cards: Queen of Wands, Knight of Disks, & The Emperor.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this. You were supposed to work with your partners and use your combined talents in a steady way for steady growth. But that’s not what happened. You decided that you were in the unique position to determine everyone’s roles and everyone’s actions and everyone was supposed to just acquiesce to your sense of business acumen and yield. Instead, you have created more enemies than you have assets to pay them off with and the ideas that you were supposed to conquer with are instead cordoning you off. If you want out of this nightmare, stop trying to rule it. It will mean “letting them win”, but you will have the chance to rebuild later. Staying in the fight means becoming someone else’s trophy.

Bryan Lahr’s Wyzard of Odd tarot deck is a work of art featuring carefully crafted images of literal smoke and mirrors. The deck is based on the Thoth and the margins are lined with correspondences from various esoteric practices. The slightly oversize deck works well for contemplation as the images fold onto themselves and unfolds upon the viewer. In following with the tradition set by the Thoth deck, Wyzard Princes are equivalent to Waite’s Knights, and Wyzard Knights are equivalent to Waite’s Kings. Three Random Cards” is a weekday series of 3 card pulls from a cartomancy deck. No context or query is given to frame what the cards say as the posts are reading samples and not personal instruction. The result is sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, and usually surprising. All readers are invited to leave a comment about what they perceive in the random spread as each person will interact with the cards in their own way.

Personalized, direct, and private cartomancy readings are available via Ko-Fi: Noxporium.
