The Universal Waite is Mary Hanson-Roberts’ recolored rendition of the Waite-Smith deck. Nearly identical lining is softened by gentle coloring. Some faces have been reworked to be more pleasing to the eye.

This is the opposite of how things should be handled. Blind assumptions make for wild swings and now you are caught betweend a rock and a hard place. Since there is no official right answer, whatever you do to make and keep yourself safe is the thing you should do. But be wary of leaping too blindly. It was blind faith that got you into this mess after all, it will take craftiness to get you out of it.
