Each suit in the Bag of Bones playing card deck tells a visual story progressing from Ace to Ten. That person has demonstrated countless times that they are not trying to undermine you, not trying to lord over you, and are trying to help you stand up on your own. What they told you was exactly what you needed to hear, no matter how painful it was to hear it. And now you are going to pout because it hurt your feelings. Have you considered that all those folks that are quick to tell you those words that are making you feeling superficially better are there only to watch your world burn? They are goading you into acting out of anger unlike that person who only wants you to act from reason. So sit down, consider your life choices, and be mature about this.
