What Does The Deck Say? April 17, 2019

Sweeney Tarot: 9 of Coins (reversed), Queen of Cups (reversed), & Rebirth [XX].

The Sweeney Tarot was designed to read with reversals. Having the expected 78 cards, one could use any system of meanings with it. However Lee Bradford has put deep thought into the meanings of the Sweeney Tarot, making sure it is approachable by all and without occult or religious concerns that would restrict its audience or use.

Today’s cards: 9 of Coins (reversed), Queen of Cups (reversed), & Rebirth [XX].

You already knew you would have to give up the “vices” if you wanted to transform yourself. You weren’t expecting on giving up the “virtues” as well. Letting go of who you were will involve letting go of not only what vexed you but what comforted you as well. Those who believe they still know what is good for you will see this as a personal betrayal and react as such. You can do this. You can remake yourself into the person you want to be. But it may take leaving everything you used to know, have, and want, behind.
