To sound terribly cliché, you will get out of the search what you put into it. Having said that, don’t exhaust yourself trying to submit as many resumés as possible in a short period. Pace yourself. And when the bites happen and the interviews are had, be as measured with your prospective employer as they are with you. Unless circumstances require you to jump at the first written offer, request time to go over the offering(s) and judge them with your needs firmly in mind. Be tenacious and complete with your submissions. Follow up with a phone call and/or email as appropriate. Your tenacity will be what makes you notable.
