Baraja Azteca: 12 Espadas, 5 Bastos, & 1 Oro.

Today’s cards: 12 Espadas, 5 Bastos, & 1 Oro.

Kindness gets you far, but it still only gets you so far. Today, cross the boundary from ask to tell and do what you need to do to get today’s task accomplished. Don’t worry about how you will be perceived. Those who never liked you will justify their dislike. Those who like you will be glad you’re stepping up for yourself. Keep going.

One of many Baraja Española decks, the Baraja Azteca is a 48 card deck of playing cards used for such games as Brisca, Tute, and Mus. This 48-card variant of the deck contains four suits; Oros (Coins), Bastos (Clubs), Espadas (Swords), and Copas (Cups). While the deck is made primarily for play, it functions well as a divination tool. Each reader uses their own personal understanding and intuition to interpret the cards.
