30 Days of Tarot: Day Twenty-Six

30 Days of Tarot — Day 26: Have you ever regretted a particular reading, either for yourself or another?

Some more than others.

For myself, it’s when I received verification of a certain thing I had long suspected, but had willfully turned a blind eye to. Seeing it in the cards made the issue unavoidable for me. While it was the first in many corrective steps, there will always be that pain of regret that I didn’t check sooner, and that I unnecessarily kept myself in that situation for so long.

For others, it’s not one particular reading, but one particular response. Not even hecklers get to me as bad as those that see the answer, understand my words, understand what I’m telling them, but still will blow off the information as if by denying the information, they can deny the existence of the problem. These folks are paying me to tell them “bad news”, but then turn away scoffing that said bad news will never happen to them.

And then I watch as they live-blog the unwelcome events while they loudly question if there was anything they could have done to avoid the situation.

Those get to me. If they truly did not want to know, why did they ask?

Then I remember my own self-blindness and I stop whining about it.
