30 Days of Tarot — Day 14: For what purposes do you usually use the Tarot (self-reflection, guidance, advice, recreation, communing with spirits/dead, communication with deity, other)?
Shuffling as a means of staying out of trouble.
The tarot is an all-purpose tool for me. It works as a mirror of the mind when I need it, as an advisor when my ego allows it, as a game to be taken seriously or not, and as a communication device for certain entities which could be divinities, could be spirits, and could be my subconscious finding a way to direct my attention. But most of the time it’s merely something to keep my hands busy when I’m giving something serious consideration.
I am quite irreverent with tarot as a whole, having no pedestal to put under nor any character to look up to. It is a ruler, a knife, a scale, a mirror, and a toy. Sometimes all at the same time.
