30 Days of Tarot — Day 11: What spread do you use most often/prefer and why?
It’s not really a spread as it is leaning back and asking the universe what it got for the bonus question on the test.
Three cards that simply tells me what I need to know about a thing at that moment. Sometimes they’ll read as independent stations, sometimes they’ll read as a sentence. If I must put a spread name to it, “This, That, & The Other” would suffice as the former. I really have no formal name for the latter. I use that most often because it is utilitarian. It’s quick, to the point, and gets the main idea across.
When reading for others, the Celtic Cross is the most requested spread. Sometimes the Querent’s question is a poor starting point for the spread and I’ll try to direct them to other spreads that use fewer cards and will get to the point satisfactorily. But often they’ll insist on using the Celtic Cross because that is what they are comfortable with. Okay. Let’s go.
